it's a cool idea, but i think it wouldn't be ergonomic. the trackpad is something people use a lot and sometimes even without looking, so accidental taps/swipes would happen, that's why touchbar was on top of keyboard

i use a macbook with touchbar and I love it, I don't know how did many people hate it so much, it's super useful and handy

I mean, dragging an icon into another is easier then just pressing a few times (with some apps having you to scroll down the guidelines or even wait between sections)
