Every now and then I think about how Po is one of the few kids’ movie heroes who kills the villain at the end. No “tries to spare him but is forced to finish him off” or “villain dies due to his own actions” but straight up has him at his mercy and executes him. Pretty based ngl.

All these jokes about Uncle Ben dying again continue to miss the point of how desperately this version of Spider-Man needed that backstory and what a disservice was done when they stripped away his emotional core and replaced it with a false image of one through Tony Stark.
‘SPIDER-MAN: FRESHMAN YEAR’ will be set in the MCU and follows Peter Parker in his early days as Spider-Man “with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.”

It’s incredible to me just how many “professional” critics just do not pay attention to the movies they’re paid to review. The whole premise of this film is about Goofy trying to figure out how to be involved in his son’s life without being overbearing. It’s a message FOR adults.

I love how during Golden Age the entire Band of the Hawk practically worships Guts while this one guy will find any excuse to hate him for anything he does.
I think every story in fiction needs a dedicated hater. Just someone that constantly beefs with a main character for no reason. It's even funnier when the beef is one sided. Every story is made better with the inclusion of a hater.

@bluenylons Nah, it’s Chris Pratt. Not a bad option imo considering that he has a similar energy and his roles on Parks and Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy have their identity tied to classic rock and 70’s music. It’s probably him because he’s closer in age to Tom Holland.

One of the main characters constantly goes on about how great of a person her police officer dad was and there's no reason to believe she's in the wrong for idolizing him. It's less a condemnation of the system as a whole but of those in authority who choose to abuse their power.
