But I found myself snooping the net and I discovered that as of September 2024, approximately 68% of Solana's total supply—over 390 million SOL—was staked across 1,642 validators. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮’𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝟰𝟭.𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆. That's over 1,600+ validators fighting for scraps and this is not a good look.
