My favourite Prince gig was on 14th August 1986 - Parade because it was the 1st time I saw Prince live & he & the Revolution looked so relaxed & happy & the gig had a wicked vibe to it… + Ronnie Wood & Sting joined him on stage for Miss You!

When I had the Black Album on bootleg cassette back in 1988, I turned over to side B & Bob George started playing & I thought they had recorded another album by a different artist on Side B. I couldn’t believe this was Prince.

The lyrical flow & subject matter of Apollonia 6’s “Blue Limousine” is similar to Joni’s “Car on the Hill.”

One thing that gets lost is that to all intents & purposes, Prince was a solo artist.
He was never a band in the conventional sense, he created bands to create the illusion of movements.
When I brought a Prince record or saw him live, I went to see Prince, not the band.
