An alternative to first come first serve DMT mints will appeal to those who want to launch tokens powered by block data but with control over supply.
Max minters won't like it but it's a necessary evolution to onboard creators to non-arbitrary tokens.

They reduce key-man risk by letting pure Bitcoin data decide any future expansion of the project.
Plus with some improved distribution methods down the line future emissions could be publicly
the main gist here is that people keep coining the phrase "don't dilute the project" but this should be taken in the context of the creator adding onto his original work. this could be tokens, sub-collections, etc.
we've already seen how this went with, for example, BAYC -> MAYC

uses a similar technique as your proposal but uses the ID of the artist's deployment inscription in place of a sha256 for their support of non-arbitrary tokens (more on these later).

I might be wrong but I think it's behaviour inherited from the brc-20 spec via TAP. The indexer assigns the fungible tokens to you as soon as you mint and then the mint inscription is essentially useless. But in this case its not and instead forms the basis of your NFT.
