Any day a county wins a treble of Leinster titles it is special but to win it and not be an outright favourite in any of the three games makes it all the more remarkable.
Kudos for how Wexford players dealt with it, they were visually disgusted and challenged the culprit but didn’t raise hands, manager Darragh Egan didn’t want to get into the incident but did praise his players response.
Great to have the three Wexford LGFA finals in Wexford Park today, no reason why these showpiece finals, along with the same in Camogie, can’t be here every year.
The fact that more people are complaining about a front page than were there supporting the Wexford Ladies Football team at any of their home National League matches this year pretty much sums up humanity in 2019.
Seven of the eight starters for Wexford played tonight for Shels/Clonee, Ailis Neville played her third championship game in three days. It’s shouldn’t have happened, period.
What a performance for Wexford in that second half, could have thrown in the towel, could have felt sorry for themselves but battled all the way back to take a draw, 3-11 to 1-17 in the end.
Such a sad night. A huge loss to Wexford Ladies Football, Breda was always on the other end of the phone if I needed something, nothing was too much hassle. RIP.
Here is the ball in the back of the goal today, clear as day to most of us there, apart from the two lads standing right next to it in white coats and the referee. Poor stuff from your officials
@OfficialCamogie
If there’s one positive for Wexford today it’s Emma Tomkins, the young Clonee clubwoman has been outstanding since coming on, incredible that this is her first appearance in the 2021 championship, Wexford 2-16 to 0-5 down heading into the final quarter.
Wexford Youths are the Continental Tyres WNL Champions for the 4th time, they qualify for the 2019/20 UEFA Women’s Champions League. Congrats to all involved.
The tributes pouring in from across the county say so much about the esteem in which James was held. I can only echo those sentiments, one of my favourite people to meet, a genuine man, a real football man. RIP James. Thinking of his family.
It is with great sadness and with very heavy hearts, that we post this message following the tragic loss of our manager, friend and club mate James Bolger Jr.

Outstanding display from Wexford, led by Aisling Murphy (before she got carded because she hurt the refs feelings, presumably), they will face Laois or Clare in Croke Park at the end of the month, 6-11 to 1-9.
I have to say, credit where it’s due, the organisation of the ladies football championships by the LGFA - as far as being media-friendly is concerned anyway - has been fantastic from the start of the campaign to the finish today.
Despite agreeing to a morning throw-in with Carlow, the Wexford intermediate camogie side will play at 1.30pm, clashing with the big game in Wexford Park on Sunday. The reason?
@OfficialCamogie
would not agree to the move.

Clonmel the venue today, on the back of trips to Bray, Waterford, Louth and Kilkenny since Friday. I don’t believe there’s a publication in the country that puts as much in to covering women’s sports as

Under-13 shield finals nice and early this morning, lot of unsung heroes looking after club grounds around the county.

Doing this job through the years there are moments dotted along the way that stay with you...Rianna Jarrett putting Wexford ahead against Ajax in the Champions League will be one of those, almost surreal.
A Caitriona Murray treble has given Wexford the Ladies National League Div 3 title, finally this team gets over the line. Congrats to all involved.

This tweet is in recognition of the timber placed low on the stand side of Ferrycarrig Park, stopping an endless supply of footballs rolling off the pitch and under the stand. It’s the hero we all knew we needed but never dreamt we’d ever get.
There are twelve All Ireland schools LGFA semi-finals listed on the
@LadiesFootball
website as completed, all twelve have programmes, eleven have the referee and their county listed, one does not include the county… this one below.
Dramatic skyline in Enniscorthy for the Wexford and Kildare U16 Camogie clash, fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for Kildare player who picked a serious looking arm injury.
All over here in Belfast, Wexford top the group and advance to the quarters with a 3-22 to 0-4 win, Grace Donovan and Caitriona Murray with the second and third goal.
Bodibro Ladies Senior Football quarter-final pairings are:
Shelmalier v. Dunbrody Gaels
Clonard/Vols v. Clonee
St Anne’s v. Crossabeg-Ballymurn
Adamstown v. Clongeen
Scheduled for Monday week.
Interesting decision on the split season last night, seemed to be a push for change but didn’t happen. Personally enjoyed the format this season and contrary to other opinions, think the standard of football has improved across the board in the last few years..
Wexford will advance to the All Ireland Ladies Intermediate football championship quarter-final with anything better than a seven point loss at home to Laois on Sunday.
Nine of St Vincent’s ten scores came from frees, they won more frees than St Martin’s, who had a player sent off but they want a different referee for the replay according to one lad on the line...GAA eh?
Impossible for Wexford to win this game being held to a different standard of contact and physicality that Kilkenny, absolutely shambolic half of officiating
@OfficialCamogie
Kilkenny lead 0-12 to 1-5.
That’s a stunning first half performance for the Wexford minors in Parnell Park, goals by A.J. Redmond and Dylan O’Neill have them 2-10 to 0-7 ahead at the break in this Leinster semi-final.
