CAREERS CAFE// This morning we welcomed former @deanerypupil Louis Fairhurst into school to talk to Y11 pupils about the Degree in Football Development offered by the @UniSouthWales via @LaticsCommunity . He also spoke about the opportunities within football.

Congratulations to Ryan C in Y7 who competed in the Greater Manchester Schools cross country Y7. He completed the course in 10.24. He also also raced in Burnley this weekend doing 3.2k in 12.01 gaining himself a new pb and running a 6 minute mile. Well done Ryan!

Year 7 are looking forward to the 'Alpha Youth Day' tomorrow. During an action-packed, superhero-themed day, pupils are encouraged to engage in conversations about the Holy Spirit, explore different ways in which Christians worship and to experience a church environment.

To Kick off #nationalapprenticeshipweek we welcomed @TheAdamCorbally into school to speak with pupils. Adam became a motivational speaker after he reached the final of the hit T.V. show The Apprentice. Adam shared his story of overcoming adversity and achieving success.

Congratulations to Rae in Y8 who ran at the Greater Manchester Schools Cross Country @ Heaton Park on Saturday representing Wigan Schools Yr 8 & 9, she finished a brilliant 28th in a time of 14.23.
