Hey DC! The major snowfall will wrap up by midnight, and then sleet and drizzle mixes in during the early morning, ruling out a Wednesday morning battle (due to slushy conditions). But we're scouting conditions/ locations for a potential LATE NIGHT FIGHT. TONIGHT. Anyone game?

We had the privilege of speaking with Cat Lanigan, Communications and College Programs Manager at Special Olympics DC @specialolyDC , during the 2025 DC Snowball Fight! ❄️ As this year’s official charity partner, Cat shared how Special Olympics DC provides year-round sports, health, and inclusion programs for over 2,500 children and adults with intellectual disabilities—all at no cost. ‘Special Olympics isn’t just every four years—it happens every day here in DC,’ Cat explained. Their athletes compete year-round through school programs, adult leagues, and community events. Last year, JoJo Wilson, a Ward 7 resident and DC Public Schools graduate, made history by winning a gold medal in the 400-meter race at the World Games in Berlin, Germany. Moments like these showcase the incredible impact of their daily work, building confidence and creating opportunities for athletes to shine. Inspired to support?
