Our 1st & 2nd year basketball teams have started their campaign! Our 2nd team had a narrow defeat against, while our 1st year team have gotten off to a nice start with a victory over Rosscarbery!

DCS celebrated St. Brigid's Day on Friday by making St. Brigid's crosses. Some of our First and Second Year classes gathered in the Library and learnt the skill of making crosses from freshly harvested rushes. They also learnt about St. Brigid and her kindness to those in need.

A highlight event of the schools Big Brother programme is the ‘Beat the January Blues Pizza Party’. Our 1st year students enjoy a couple of slices of pizza with their 4th year mentors who take the opportunity to chat, give some advice and plan for the next weeks events 🍕

An exceptional performance from DCS past pupil Adam Idah who scored twice against Wolrd Cup Winning goalkeeper Emi Martinez in the Champions League versus Aston Villa at Villa Park tonight. Well done Adam!

A strong showing from our 1st year soccer team in the Munster Cup with a 13-1 win over St. Colemans Midleton. Goal scorers were Cian Scanlon 4, Adam Ahern 3, Jamie Kelly 3, and 1 each for David Hunter, Daniel Murphy and Harry Clark.

Congratulations to all who participated in the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships held in UL Sports Arena over the weekend. Well done to our stellar DCS students who raced & a particular congratulations to Cathal Murphy in TY who placed second in the Men's Junior 16 - 1 km race 🚣

Last week our Leaving Cert students had the invaluable opportunity to meet individually with their subject teachers. During these meetings, teachers provided feedback on students performance so far and highlighted specific areas for improvement in each subject!
