@jlpulice @ekoreen Like Eric said, definitely not an expert. I also found it interesting that this year, across EC, senate and house, all forecasts expected more from democrats. So the random polling error affected all elections in the same direction, suggesting it was not completely random

@jlpulice @ekoreen Also, why is the margin of error always in favour of the republican candidate? In theory, if there were little systematic bias, the error could be in either direction.

@ASPphysician Can we communicate this to the press so they can ask what is happening during Ford’s conferences? Maybe tweet a few reporters?

@imgrund @salvella Agreed. Accurate serology would be very helpful. The attitude has seemed to changed from "flatten the curve" (to prevent overwhelming of resources) to now reduce case load.

@imgrund @salvella For sure. The other thought I had was if we actually want R to be near 1 to allow for steady exposure without overwhelming the system? Now that we are "post-peak" and have no vaccine in site

@imgrund Do you find that we are overreacting to changes in overall case numbers (which could be due to the above factors) when hospitalizations are much more stable, and independent of testing practices? and those are trending down consistently

@jkwan_md @CP24 Given that Ontario has broadened the access to testing to now include all symptomatic people - along with the fact that hospitalizations are stable if not down a little - maybe these numbers just better reflect community burden- and not a spike

@jkwan_md @MPaiMD What would be considered “complete testing”? We are doing between 13-16k tests per day
