My goal at the beginning of this year was to make enough profit from my apps to cover the Apple Developer Program membership fee ($99/year). I failed! I only got half way there! But had 0 app then, and now I have 2. Yes, the apps are not that great! Yes, I could have done a better job! But I think despite failing my goal, it's still not too bad. I've learned a ton switching from building apps for a company to building apps for myself. It's just the start of the journey! 2025 is going to be different! I determine to make sure it covers the next membership fee & the fee of this year! :D

@fabiangruss I have a question. Why do you use Cursor instead of Alex sidebar? I'm just trying to compare the 2. You are working with SwiftUI, so I would guess alex sidebar fits your usecase better?

My issue is I don't think my apps are worth it. I don't know if I lack the confidence or what. Maybe because I'm building small little apps and it's nothing ground breaking? I mean.. it works. I'm using my app. But it's not like it's anything great. It's not like I don't want to reach out to journalist or Apple, but I just don't know what to tell them. I have a meditation timer and I built it because I needed one for myself. But it's not like it's so unique or so much better than the others. It's just another meditation timer. Maybe if I attempt sth bigger, I might have sth to say? But I'm a bit scared to commit to sth big right now. So it's kind of a chicken and egg issue here.

Good to have that mindset. I'm not there yet. Need more 1-star reviews to train myself to get used to it. :D Anyway, your launch this time is amazing. Listening to your podcast with Antoine, and now seeing you have a great launch like this just makes me so happy. Rooting for your success here. I don't know why I'm so bad at all of these marketing stuff. For some reasons, there's this small part in me that just don't want anyone to pay attention to me. And that's bad for business. 🥲

Yes. But I'm under the impression that everyone is just doing the tab tab tab nowadays. And if it doesn't work, just keep doing more prompts and tab tab tab. I can't do that. I don't trust generated code at all. Not sure if I'm just being too cautious or I just have a hard time adopting the "modern" way.
