With Real World Cryptography coming up next week, I wanted to take an opportunity to point out that our current post-quantum cryptographic primitives are not suitable for the web

The Tom Brady interview is kinda funny, because while I'm sure he did a great job understanding the Chiefs defense in the 2021 Super Bowl, the main reason the Chiefs lost is because their receivers kept dropping balls that hit them in the chest despite Mahomes dodging pass rush.

After over two months of ordering and reordering and returning parts, I finally got my custom 1U server to boot. Still need to find a better CPU cooler.

@Noahpinion The concept might be broadly true, but 2000 milligrams per week at ~10mg per gummy would be ~28 gummies per day which is just obviously not what the median weed user is doing.

This looks cool. Too bad every FFI has to default back to the C ABI though. Alas.

@martin_casado I assume you're referring to models/software and not chips/GPUs? It seems like chip export controls are reasonably effective, although not in a way that fundamentally stops model training.

It seems like “supply-chain security” and “I must be able to include dynamic third-party content on the web” are diametrically opposed, and if you care about the first you probably just shouldn’t do the second.
