Heartbreaking morning when I found 2 beached Common #Dolphin on the Mersey. A massive thank you to @BDMLR for responding so quickly. Keeping every crossed that they are able to be safely returned back to water and back out into the Irish Sea 🤞🤞

2023 #patchbirding lacked a ‘proper’ mega, but 174sp seen inc #patchtick Smew, Kumlien’s Gull & White Tailed Eagle, alongside some scarcer bits like Temminck’s Stint, Pec Sand, Glauc, Cattle Egrets, Waxwing, Firecrest, Twite, Hawfinch etc. More of the same for 2024 please 😁🤞

Mind. Totally. Blown 🤯 The #vismig in south Liverpool has been insane. Constant flocks of Redwings and latterly Fieldfare moving at rooftop height. Would have loved to have been out #patchbirding properly. But the #tseep and #tsaktsaktsak is a great soundtrack to work to 😁

Undoubted highlight of the #wadertastic #patchbirding was at least 5 Little Stint. But to have over 4k #waders so close was an absolute pleasure having had the frustration of counting dots (wondering what may be hidden amongst them) at c1 mile for the last few weeks 😁
