I don’t really want to harp on it too much but Beyoncé taking both electronic categories at The Grammies is just so tragic to all the artists who live this music day in and day out
I watched the Avicii documentary last night again and once again all I’m left with is anger and sadness. Anger that our industry let him down like that and sadness because he had so much more to give the world.
I just unfollowed all political accounts and anyone who supports Donald Trump. Because my mental health is more important.
I did keep
@BarackObama
because he follows me back.
Wanted to thank everyone who’s reached out to wish me well. Love and support works 😇 And in this case, so has the vaccine. Be well and stay safe everyone ❤️
@PierceFulton
I literally don’t even know what to say. I wish I knew you were suffering I would have done anything to help you. Thank you for the music you gave to the world. That will live on.
I didn’t even personally know
@i_oofficial
but I appreciated his talent and his edge.
We lost one of us today 💔
My heart aches for his team
@astateofhalil
@tannerwilfong1
Roger etc.
If there is ever anyone who needs an ear my DMs are always open for you.
As I said earlier, I didn’t know Garrett personally but after reading this introduction he wrote when he started
@i_oofficial
I wish that I did
And I also didn’t know that i_o stood for “infinitely one”
The first time I played this song on CQ, I played it for 15 minutes and then played it again a few songs later.
There was a reason it hit me more than the usual songs that come out. It felt so real and authentic to me.
OMG with tonight, I don’t even know where to begin, apart from saying thank you so much to
@tonymcguinness
for replaying the ABGT 250 set on CQ. A set that meant so much to me then as it did tonight ❤️
51 weeks ago tonight I played my last indoor club venue. That is absolutely crazy to me.
So grateful for the community that we have built together on Twitch. It has kept me sane because I am a live performer at heart and this gave me something to do.
My name is Dave and my favorite track this year was
@kx5official
Escape feat
@haylasings
The pressure to follow up “I remember” / “move for me” after all these years must have been insane which makes this record even more remarkable
Today is a dark day in the history of this nation. What happened today said that political violence is totally cool, and frankly, it’s welcomed by the GOP because their jobs are more important than the good of the country.
Everywhere I look on the internet, it feels like music has become the most disposable it’s ever been.
Fans all up in the comments of an artists’ new release announcement “when’s the blahbidy blah ID gonna be released” or “finally” instead of being excited for the release.
I just performed a 5 hour set of (mostly) Avicii music, wow was a talent he was. I haven’t had that much fun live streaming in months!
Thanks to the thousands of viewers who joined in over the course of the stream ❤️
The real club quarantine, day 4…
Lost smell, most taste, steady low grade fever — 99.1 (have not taken Tylenol today), body aches mostly gone, headaches gone, chills occasionally.
The worst symptom is super inflamed sinuses.
After CQ last night we raided Deadmau5 who was streaming his studio session live on twitch. And it kept me up all night because he was making an incredible new track.
@CamelPhat
It’s likely inaction (not voting) from the members and also Beyoncé’s people working the voting members. It’s definitely not a fair fight for real dance/electronic artists.
Sorry music industry, but taking down videos from 9 years ago on Instagram is def not the way to make friends or inspire good will.
This industry is so backwards, they never learned from Napster two decades ago.
No one musician had a more profound effect on my career than this man.
When I was 16, he was playing every Saturday night in a 18 and under club in Greenwich, CT and I went up to him and asked him how he was making each song seamlessly blend into the next one.
Ok, another big announcement(and no, not an april fools...) In addition to creating ‘reprise’ over the last 4 yrs i’ve also been working on ‘moby doc’, a unique & idiosyncratic film about my life, activism and music. It’s out on may 28th, but here is the official trailer.
