Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish has been filled with controversy and tension after our parish government by a vote of 10-5 refused to take down the Confederate South’s Defenders Monument.
Hurricane Laura had other plans and brought it down herself.
Make no damn mistake about it: Black voters just saved the state of Louisiana. We are a force to be reckoned with. Now, it’s time to respect us and we will demand it!

I sued the state of Louisiana for what I knew was a racist unfair congressional map. I’m pleased to see the SCOTUS side on justice and let our case prevail.
It’s time for Louisiana to see and hear Black people in this state. 🏛️
I’m exploring a run for Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party.
We need a leader who will brings us together and advance a platform that centers Louisianans. We need a visionary, a work horse, a committed Democrat, and someone who will stand up to Jeff Landry.
Louisiana wouldn’t expand the child tax credit, ban lunch shaming, almost denied Summer EBT, haven’t made all school lunches free, wouldn’t require air and heat on school buses, but THIS is what we do.

It’s unacceptable that

Our kids are losing $71M in food assistance. It’s not to late to do the right thing Gov
Jeff Landry supported the insurrection of the US. He has directly targeted women’s health, LGBTQ+ people, and the civil rights of Black Louisianans. While, he will the Governor of Louisiana. I will not dignify a celebration ceremony of someone who target my livelihood daily.
Thank you to the people of Louisiana for electing as District 3's Public Service Commissioner.
Tonight, the people took the power back.
I look forward to working to bring clean, affordable and reliable utilities to the people of Louisiana over the next six years.
This man will do and say anything for a headline. How about you actually use your office to uplift Louisiana from being one of the poorest states in the nation?

She has the necessary moral conviction and policy know-how. With our support, she has what it takes to defeat Trump and lead us to continued progress!
The election results wins Democrats are seeing across the country right now is what happens when we actually run on our issues.
Louisiana Democrats take note: We cannot mobilize voters when we run away from our issues. We need to be clear, stand firm, and speak out.

I feel for the people trying to make evacuation plans but have no disposable income bc they aren’t paid a living wage. Those who are out an additional $300 because we played politics with unemployment. Those who want to leave but simply can’t afford too. This is policy violence.
If she speaks, she loses. Because she’s a freaky exhibition when she’s real.
This debate was a memorized presentation for Kamala. ABC gave her the questions.
And still, despite the clear bias of liberal ABC… President Trump, our President, America’s President… won.

Today, I officially take office as the Public Service Commissioner for the 3rd District of Louisiana.
I’m honored and humbled by the trust the people have put in me. Over the next 6 years I will serve with honesty, integrity, and humility. This is the start of our movement.
Tonight, we have begun a new chapter for Louisiana. Tonight, the people of Louisiana start taking our power back. Tonight, Louisiana has a Public Service Commissioner who’s unafraid to hold Entergy accountable, because I owe this victory to the people of Louisiana.
Last night was rough. We have a lot to reflect on, a lot of things to blame, and bad choices to fix.
But, I’m not just going to point the finger- I’m also about work. I promise you all I’m going to do everything I can to build a Democratic Party in Louisiana. The work begins…

Thank you to the voters of East Baton Rouge. It’s time to build back better the Louisiana Democratic Party. I’ll be apart of our comeback story. I’ll share more about my plans to rebuild this party very soon.
I’m really sick of non-Louisianans watching a race for a distance and making conclusion about Black voters.
There is so much to unpack about the candidate, the campaign, the ecosystem that would explain this below.
You could not have had a better candidate than Gary Chambers and Black Louisianans stayed home during his election too. Left the brother out to dry with an embarassing loss.
