I am an immunologist and have worked on T-cells half my life. In this thread I will present a rebuttal that will hopefully encourage more debate.
The idea that herd immunity can be achieved by 10-20% infected/vaccinated people is itself wrong and deeply flawed. 1/n
1/ There is growing evidence that T-cell immunity allows populations to reach herd immunity once only 10-20% are infected with SARS-CoV-2.
This would explain why a highly transmissible virus in densely populated areas peaked at 10-20% infected regardless of lockdowns or masks.

Anand, it hurts. For these students we work extra hours, make sure they get good papers and best post doc positions. It's eye opening I was fainting, they were just staring. I travelled from US, 22hrs and did not take rest, came to lab for what and for whom? For these students?

The very day, I travelled 22hrs and came to lab to meet students and work on my manuscript. Because of excessive exhaustion, BP went high, and I was fainting. Doors were locked, and these students did not help me. Staffs called ambulance and took me to health centre.
