They WERE made into a movie, many years ago -- Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. There were no sequels, but we're trying to reboot it, this time probably as a TV series.

I couldn’t make the ceremony, as I was on a late flight, and only found out when it was presented to me at the end of my event today. What a lovely surprise to finish up with!

Mrs Shan and I took Dante to see Spirited Away in London. A fabulous night out. The Japanese team has done an amazing job of adapting a complex, immense film for the stage. HIGHLY recommended.

I saw the last episode of Midnight Mass today. Another intriguing horror series by Mike Flanagan. I liked how it did something very different with what in essence was a very traditional vampire story. Proof that there are still fresh ways to spin old stories.
