I'll always love the OG anime, but the remake tells us something different that can only be found in the manga:
In the OG, it seems that Akane is the one who's totally down for Ranma. While the manga and remake (so far), it clearly shows that IT'S RANMA WHO'S PINING FOR AKANE.
Let's face it: Ranma never speaks about his engagement with Shampoo and Ukyo, let alone acknowledges it. However, when it comes to AKANE getting taken by someone else, he drops this fact like a bomb just so the offending party gets the message.
A few points to take regarding the relationship between Ranma and Akane:
Without Akane, Ranma would remain an insensitive guy who looks down on women.
Without Ranma, Akane would have never changed her perception about men, thus probably hating them for the rest of her life.
Meeting both Tenn and Gaku is definitely one of the best things that has ever happened in Ryuu's life. Ryuu is already a good person. He's got a strong heart. He's open-minded. He tries his best to be someone who everyone can rely on. The problem is how he lacks confidence.
TRIGGER isn't a group of perfect idols. They have their own charms, and being humans, they have their own flaws as well. However, once you put these three individuals together, they form the perfect idol group.
Daily reminder that he tries to be nonchalant about their engagement, but it's crystal clear that Ranma can't stand the thought of seeing Akane getting married to someone else.
One thing I love the most about Ryuu is how he treasures his family. Despite having a set of divorced biological parents and gaining a stepfather, he didn't become bitter or resentful about it. He respects his mother's decision and her new husband.

This will remain one of my favorite scenes from Season 1. No one is allowed to threaten Ryuu's friends. No one should disown their own child in front of Ryuu. What a legend 👌👌
Watching "Maria Clara at Ibarra" and I was like, Padre Damaso is just the tip of the iceberg. Padre Salvi is really the most disgusting one.
Thumbs up to Tirso Cruz III for portraying Damaso!
HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO TRIGGER'S ERO ERO BEAST! THE SWEETEST, PUREST, MOST GENTLE, KINDEST AND MOST CARING GUY ON EARTH! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, RYUU! HOPING THAT YOU ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY!! 🥳🎂🍾🥂💙🌊🐳⛴️🐚

THE ED SONG WAS PERFORMED BY RIRIA. OF ANATA NO SOBANI. FROM THE ANIME, MY HAPPY MARRIAGE.
I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THE REMAKE RIGHT NOW AND I HAVEN'T SEEN IT IN FULL YET 😭😭😭😭
I'm losing my shit over Tenn's B_o_W rabbit chats 😂😂😂
TENN KEEPS ON KICKING RYUU OUT OF THE GROUP CHAT... THE HILARIOUS THING IS THE FACT THAT RYUU DOESN'T KNOW THAT HE'S BEING KICKED OUT 😂😂😂😂 HE THINKS THAT HE ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE CHAT 😂😂😂😂
Actually, if you think about it, Ranma was so ready to hug Akane after hearing her sneeze, not knowing that the Kairaishi mushroom spell is already gone. (I could be wrong LOL)

For the time being, let's all watch the OG anime, read the manga, or/and listen to the OST (especially the character songs!)
You can deny it all you want coz maybe you wanted Ranma to end up with someone else rather than Akane, but we can never ignore the fact that THESE TWO ARE WILLING TO GO HELL AND BACK JUST TO BE IN EACH OTHER'S SIDE.
I'm not being delusional. I've been reading the manga ever-
It really amazes me that, out of the 15 idols around Tamaki, Ryuu is the only one who received the nickname/honorific "aniki" from him. Tamaki seems so at ease with Ryuu.
The LOVE&GAME Rabbit Chats are making me feel soft 🥺🥺🥺
Being a country boy who's new to the city, Ryuu's shy demeanor got the best of him. Seeing Tenn as a professional and Gaku as someone flawless, Ryuu somehow felt that he isn't that needed, hence not voicing out his concerns and opinions. He felt quite lost in the mix.
Tenn and Gaku really helped Ryuu develop his confidence. They always assure him that his opinions and feelings are as valuable as theirs. They always tell him that he can rely on them as well, to be selfish every now and then, for them to spoil him every once in a while.
Same goes to Akane. Ryoga and Shinnosuke are great guys, heck I love them both more than Ranma!
However, if it weren't for Ranma, Akane probably wouldn't have interacted with any man other than her father or Dr. Tofu. He indirectly changed her perspective of males.
And let's be real here: BOTH ARE TEENAGERS. Most teenagers don't know how to handle their emotions and shit. They often have a hard time developing their social skills, let alone on how to maintain a proper relationship with any one. Give them some slack, come on!
-since I was in elementary. I watched the anime as well. I know what I'm talking about.
Yes, I love and adore Shampoo. I like Ukyo. Both girls are good contenders for Ranma's heart, but all throughout the series, only Akane was able to motivate Ranma in changing for the better.
Akane always angry with ranma for no reason especially that moment where she gifted ranma to her sister (nabiki) and stalking them both until she wanted him back!😡 And here’s a picture where she smiles that they’re together again poor ranma.😞
