@missingkitsune @Bleach4W @kyorakulovebot Def was hyperfocused on "and now this Arrancar must die". At the cost of losing his focus on the rest of the battle (hence "unfocused"). I don't think Starrk would have been able to hit him like that if Shun had been paying attention to everything.

@missingkitsune @Bleach4W @kyorakulovebot I'll check it out, but your interpretation sounds right. After all, Shunsui was definitely preparing to use bankai on Wonderweiss in canon.... (It's the only time I recall seeing him so unfocused in battle.)
