Over the past 9 months, I’ve played a small role in 2 high-profile murder cases. At 55, it’s left me reflecting on life’s fragility.
Love everyone you can. Be the one who helps, not hinders. Have fun whenever possible. Because you truly never know what tomorrow will bring.
I’ve had Covid symptoms and tested + for 14 straight days now, so we might want to rethink the 5-day and 10-day CDC “guidelines” plus use more common sense about masking up in public even though you might think it’s “safe” now.
The hate on Bryan Bulaga from many Chargers fans is sad. Dude was injured; it’s not like he wanted to let the team down. Sometimes moves just don’t work out. No need to pile on him now.
Tom Telesco’s best GM move wasn’t drafting Justin Herbert. It was letting Philip Rivers walk, as painful as it was for many fans. Without that decision, the Chargers never would have gotten the quarterback we’ve seen these past two seasons.
#BoltUp
So we all agree Easton Stick is getting cut, right? Because if something (God forbid) happened to Justin Herbert, the Chargers would just sign Philip Rivers for the rest of the season and go win the Super Bowl, no?
I’m tired of hearing Brandon Staley say the Chargers weren’t good enough “in all three phases of the game.”
There are FOUR phases.
Coaching is the phase they’ve also failed at miserably at times this season, including the second half tonight.
Any reporter who isn’t asking Brandon Staley why this Chargers team isn’t prepared to protect the quarterback late in the fourth quarter of close games isn’t doing his or her job.
#BoltUp
The Los Angeles Chargers are a few better players, a little better coaching and a lot better execution away from a Super Bowl.
Thank you for listening to my podcast.
One more crowd vid from the final minutes of last night’s dramatic Chargers win over the Steelers as the terrible towels left in tears. LA might “not have any fans” 🙃 but I love every member of the

Klay is greedy … but took less money per year. Klay sucks … but was courted by multiple contenders (if you consider LA a contender). Klay was not a team guy … but came off the bench and became a better playmaker.
Fans will say anything.
Who else do you consider to be the core of this Los Angeles Chargers team heading into next season?
Justin Herbert
Derwin James
Austin Ekeler
Joey Bosa
Keenan Allen
Corey Linsley
Rashawn Slater

Steve Kerr and the Warriors have decided backing Draymond Green is the only way Steph Curry can win another championship — and that means they now gotta swallow whatever bs Green is out there yapping about.
They’ve given a drunk the keys to drive the team bus into a ditch.
Klay wanted three years. He repeatedly asked for three years. And now he signed a deal with a contender for … who knew? … three years. AND he gets to play with a Top 5 talent in the league.
It was never about the dollars.
BREAKING: Free agent Klay Thompson plans to join the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $50M deal with a player option, sources tell ESPN. Thompson ends his historic Warriors run as part of a multi-team sign-and-trade that’ll also send Josh Green to Charlotte.
I have been to one primetime NFL game in my life — a Sunday Nighter when LaDainian Tomlinson and the Chargers went nuts on the Chiefs. Tonight will be my first MNF game in person — let’s hope for the same from
@AustinEkeler
against the Raiders 🎉
I know it’s the cool thing for people to hate on Jerry Seinfeld’s “Unfrosted”
@netflix
, but I’ve laughed throughout and found it to be quite clever. And the cast is unbeatable — from the primary characters to the perfect cameos.
Why can’t we just have fun anymore?
#Unfrosted
I don’t understand all the Chargers fans putting their season tix up for sale for the home opener vs Cowboys. Why the hell did you even buy season tix if you’re not going to THAT game?
If I ran the
@chargers
I’d start a 24/7 Chargers Radio on SiriusXM or iHeart that featured nonstop original Chargers content plus episodes of selected podcasts so fans could easily access and listen to Chargers content anytime, anywhere, especially while driving.
Who is with me?
It’s easy to look back now and criticize the Brandon Staley hire, the Corey Linsley and JC Jackson signings.
But pretty much EVERYBODY was excited about all three at the time they happened.
To say “Telesco should have known” is just disingenuous hindsight.

Warriors fans when Draymond makes mistakes over and over again: “He’s passionate!”
Warriors fans when Kuminga answers a reporter’s question about wanting to be on the court more: “Stop crying! Ship him out for another old guy!”
The idea that Poole & Kuminga were the Warriors’ problem this year is so laughable.
If you’re a young, talented player fighting for playing time and the vets ahead of you *can’t win games* you should be pissed you’re not getting more of a chance.
I have no information on Justin Herbert this morning, but I just met Sebastian Joseph-Day in the hotel elevator and can report he is a super-nice guy.
#BoltUp
I will say it again: If the Warriors’ core isn’t getting it done, I’d be disappointed in Poole & Kuminga if they *weren’t* frustrated about playing time. It’s not like the old guys were getting it done this season. Not even close. Kerr lacked the vision to use them consistently.
@jrichardgoodman
What’s funny is supporters of trading Poole conveniently forget *all* the reasons the Warriors failed this season — Wiggins disappearance, Klay slow start (and then playoff slump), Kerr refusal to develop young talent, GP2 never 100% after returning, Dray and GM deals looming …
I’m entertained by the “What the Chargers need to do” takes for a 3-1 team that has exceeded expectations and has the best young coach in the past 20 years transforming the franchise.
Think I’ll trust Brandon Staley.

Giorgio Travecchio

Three kickers Tom Telesco should be calling today but won’t because coaches are stubborn and Brandon Staley believes Tristan Vizcaino is the future of Chargers kicking.

I worked in journalism 30 years. Covered sports, ran newspapers and owned magazines.
And I trust
@tylerjschoon
on Chargers coverage as much as anyone I’ve run across on this app. The
@GACPodcast17
guys have cultivated a very strong, responsible network in a very short time.
Gonna be the ultimate Tom Brady power move when he pops up his head later today and says, “Hey, what’s the news of the day? And, oh by the way, I’m signing with the Bucs for another two years.”

Hello Ms. Mangone, respectfully, at some point we’re going to need you to start using your Twitter to comment on actual issues and tell voters *how* you would govern better than Kevin McCarthy instead of just name-calling and asking for money.
Absolutely mesmerized by the work of
@DuleHill
and
@DWattsWords
portraying the great Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis Jr. in “Lights Out” at L.A.’s Geffen Playhouse. Funny, fearless performances that shine a light on how far we’ve come and still how far we have yet to go.
There are a lot of dumb Warriors fans on this dumb app who wanted to give up on Andrew Wiggins over and over and over again. Unbelievable how bad so many of you are at this.
Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond.
If these four guys are on the Warriors next season, they will be your starting four on a Steve Kerr-coached team. If you don’t understand that, you haven’t been listening to Steve Kerr for the past 9 years. Stop with the crazy dream lineups.
@4WhomJBellTolls
Maybe. But let’s say he misses 3 weeks and still is TE1 for the season. He’s no longer worth the high round value you paid for him if he’s not lapping the field as TE1. And that will show itself in your deficiencies at other positions.
Chargers fans: “Offensive gameplan was garbage this season.”
Also Chargers fans: “Let’s hope the Chargers’ new head coach keeps last year’s offensive coaches to run the offense and call plays next season.”
Gotta admire Brandon Staley just a little bit for understanding he’s gonna be fired if he doesn’t turn this thing around but going out on his own terms — trusting himself, his scheme, his coaches and his players.

There’s no proof of this. The virus attacks at random. I’m vaxxed and 2x boosted. My Covid is at 14 days, my wife was only 5 days. Both our symptoms far more mild than most unvaxxed we know. Vaccination and boosters help keep people with underlying conditions out of the hospital.
After much deliberation, I’ve decided my draft selection for the Chargers at 17 will be whichever player the Chargers decide is best to select at 17. Case closed.
The never-ending outrage from Chargers fans toward Austin Ekeler is tired. He’s trying to secure his best future possible, like everyone should.
Everyone take a deep breath.

@joncoopertweets
Somebody told him that “routers” store information — as a joke to see what he would do with that false premise.
And the setup paid off in a big way.
You have never been as good at anything in your entire life as Klay Thompson is at basketball.
Which means you have no idea how hard it is to lose that edge, even just the little bit he’s lost.
Stop thinking it’s easy for Klay to change how he’s played his entire life.
I know we don’t do subtlety here on Twitter, but there’s a difference between BLAMING Justin Herbert for this Chargers loss and pointing out he clearly missed opportunities to win the game.
#BoltUp
Everybody talking about how the Warriors need a No. 2 who can self-create, but ignoring the fact that the Warriors offense is at its best when *nobody* is self-creating 🤷♂️
#DubNation
I don’t want to be one of those Chargers fans who distrusts Brandon Staley, but what he said last night about Kenneth Murray vs Kyzir White doesn’t pass the eye test, smell test, taste test or football test.
Staley has to be accountable.
And admit when he’s wrong.
#BoltUp
I’m having a laugh about so many Chargers fans who have stuck with the team through all the losing and disappointment, and then the move from San Diego to LA, playing in a soccer stadium ... but signing the greatest quarterback of all-time is where they draw the line 🤣
“But Klay Thompson got paid for two seasons for doing nothing!”
Yeah, that’s why he has FU-Money now to do what he wants rather than be disrespected as the 3rd Wheel of the Core or come off the bench behind a cocky unproven kid who’s No. 1 skill is taking charges.
If you don’t understand that Klay Thompson might just hang ‘em up and go play with Rocco on his boat, you don’t really understand Klay Thompson.
The money is irrelevant.
The respect is everything.
At this point, if you’re rooting *against* James Wiseman, you’re also rooting against Steph, Klay, Dray, Wiggins, Looney and Poole to win another next season.
