So good to have this one finally out! A massive effort by a very large group of authors to give a sort of view from space of the current ecosystem of niche modeling and distribution modeling software. I think this will be a really useful resource!

For real any niche modeling / distribution modeling people on BlueSky please reply to my post over there so I can get a starter pack going. When you search for SDM on BlueSky all you get are a bunch of very creepy dolls.

@jaytholen I tend to be extremely picky even within genres I like, so that's a tough one for me. Closest I can think of is bossa nova. The good stuff is among my favorite music ever, and even the not-as-good stuff is pretty okay.

@jaytholen Yeah when I moved from Australia to Japan I realized I hadn't recorded more than two channels at once in YEARS and went from a 16 track studio to a 2 track one. Didn't need anything else until recently with my live synth weirdo improv group.
