If the league is to be sorted on sporting merit then I reckon the fairest way is to take the standings when we'd ALL last played the same amount of games.
Draw a line under it as was at that point & we can move on & look forward to starting next season when it's safe to do so.
It wasn’t “British” causing issues outside the ground. It was gangs of your citizens causing chaos. Doing what they could to get in the ground before the match and attacking/robbing people afterwards.

@AOC1978
He’d hate the idea but I hope the club have something lined up on Sunday to mark Tage’s unbelievable dedication.
A signed shirt? A message from Jürgen? Announcing his Luton ballot result on the pitch before ko? Bringing him off the bench for the last ten? That kind of thing.
🧵 This 30,000-40,000 fake tickets claim is absurd.
To shift tens of thousands units of ANYTHING in just 3 weeks is exceptional business.
If you’re doing that offline without retail outlets you’d need a network of a least 500 willing people doing an average of 80 tickets each.
These are the days my friend.

The Geordies: Feed the Scousers
I’ll tell you something. They went down in my estimation when they said that. I’ll love it if they go down, love it.
If you’re not going to bed tonight believing that this time tomorrow Liverpool Football Club will be league champions what’s the point of the other 37 games ⤵️
The behaviour of LFC fans outside the ground should be commended.
This is the kind of thing going on from ticketless locals whilst Reds with tickets waited patiently (albeit frustrated) for the authorities to get a grip. Which they didn’t.
The story isn't going away in France. 30 minute segment last night on French TV with the panel scathing towards the police and government and supportive of the fans.
(Also, very pleased with my French)
1500+ kids (and parents) a mile away from Anfield after the match. You could prob count on two hands how many of the kids actually went the game.
7000 new seats in the Anfield Rd. Reserve 2000 of them each week for adult/child tickets. Scarves & singing voices the only condition
Every Christmas and Birthday rolled into one for my 4 year old football-kit-obsessed lad when we found this box in my mum and dads loft this afternoon.
What a way to fall. You get an asset on the cheap, make them European/World/League Champions, have the best manager in Europe & generally be accepted by the fans whilst your shares go 📈
And you kill it all in 48hrs. A lesson in greed (& not letting Joel Glazer do your talking).
Radio 5 leading on Duckenfield.
Nicky Campbell: “What about Boris Johnson’s comments on the city of Liverpool and Hillsborough?”
Gavin Williamson: “What about Labour’s attack document on Boris? He is trying to deliver Brexit”.
🤯
At least they make it easy to know your side.
🤯
So with 75,000 actual ticket holders (30%) they’re saying there were 190,000 (70%) fake tickets?!
If you’re going to lie at least try and make it believable.
French interior minister Gerald Darmanin says there was "massive fraud at an industrial level" at the Champions League final in Paris, with 70% of tickets coming into the Stade de France thought to be fake.

My lad hasn’t even started school yet and he’s seen us win, and stood in front of, every trophy bar The Fa Cup.
And he’s only got to wait ‘til May for that one.
It’s alright being a Red, isn’t it.
Shame on those Kop stewards ripping down the anti-UEFA flags. Shame on the club for either a) not having someone who knew what was happening and instructing accordingly or b) knowing about it and letting the stewards do it.
Take whatever fine it is on the chin and back the fans.
Whatever happens over the next few weeks what a great season for Merseyside football.
Liverpool in the European Cup Final, Tranmere in the Playoff Final and Everton finishing above West Brom.
My wife is going to Anfield for the first time tonight for Bon Jovi.
When I say to people she’s knows NOTHING about football, despite our 10+ years together, I mean she knows NOTHING about football.
Our city is under the tightest restrictions in the country as we are told we haven't got the local hospital capacity to cope.
We have a new £1bn+ hospital sitting EMPTY more than 5 years after it was due to replace the one next door that has long stopped being fit for purpose.
Obviously today is about the main man, but hopefully the rest of staff get to hear the love from us.
Especially John Achterberg.
15 years (and many more on Merseyside), overseen some great goalies and always interested in what the fans are up to. Hero.
🎵 oh Johnny, Johnny🎵
The best thing the LFC ticket office has ever done is to allow the transfer of tickets to any email.
Last season it opened the door to so many people, especially kids.
If transfers are limited to a list you pick at in August it will be such a backwards step.
Oh and finally. 11. The time this week they suggested that maybe, just maybe, the government ought to look into who is owning football clubs in this country.🧣
As a member, I'm quite happy they speak for me. Keep it up.
"We have exchanged messages and I've seen a picture," said Klopp. "A little Clyney!
"The baby will keep him busy for a few days and then he will start training again, all good.
"There are more important things in life than football and babies are definitely one of them."
Holding the European Cup Final in a place that is so difficult to get to is UEFA falling at the first hurdle.
But on the day the people and the city of Kiev delivered as well and better than most places I’ve watched football. Fair play to them.
The last week has been the perfect antidote to the way much of society has slid over the past few years.
Liverpool was a welcoming, diverse, accepting, outward looking and, most of all, fun place to be.
The way it should be.
If they’re doubling down on the lies the club, media, Merseyside Police etc need to double down on this; the truth.
LFC fans ought to be COMMENDED for the way we behaved outside the stadium. Calm, cool & reserved in the face of lawless out of control locals & aggressive policing
The behaviour of LFC fans outside the ground should be commended.
This is the kind of thing going on from ticketless locals whilst Reds with tickets waited patiently (albeit frustrated) for the authorities to get a grip. Which they didn’t.
There’s a worrying lack of common sense creeping in at the moment.
The flag in memory of the 3 murdered Israeli Liverpool fans shouldn’t have been removed. The lad in a Free Palestine hoody shouldn’t have been escorted out. And a Japan flag for Endo should have been allowed in!
My

banner has been confiscated on the way into Turnstile S today by a Mr Paul Hudson & an

. The grounds stated were that the FA has issued a blanket ban on "nationalistic flags" at all stadia. 1) A national flag is not "nationalistic" 2)...
A lot of media requests for this vid... I’m going to bed now but it’s absolutely ok to reuse, just mention Jamie Webster/BOSS Night. (Unless you’re The Sun or the Daily Star, obviously)
To use a phrase the club have threw the baby out with the bath water with this.
I totally get and agree with driving out the touts but this kills off all the lads that get last minute spares in the pubs or a young kid getting a chance to go thanks to a spare off a mate of a mate
The backtracking by the club on the 20 names on a ticket has created the perfect system.
The transfer by email should be enough data for the club to spot the industrial touts but it also allows for the age old ad-hoc distribution of tickets at short notice to people who wouldn’t
Big thanks to
@spiritofshankly
for dropping off some food for my wife and her colleagues on a Covid-19 research team at the Royal.
A nice surprise for people who are working with the stresses of limited PPE.
Up The Union. 👊
