@randomrecruiter If you've decided a downturn in the labor market is an opportunity to be disrespectful, your career as a 'boss' may only make it until the next market cycle. Defaulting to showing people respect, while not forgetting it's a workplace, is a lower risk strategy.

It's interesting to see human resources and in-house recruiting professionals on LinkedIn and other places essentially pretend to have more organizational power over technical hiring than they actually possess. In years of hiring, it's essentially a pass-thru, sometimes filter.

The victims of AI...
A French woman reportedly divorced her millionaire husband then was scammed out of $850k by a fake Brad Pitt. The scammer used AI-generated photos and claimed he was undergoing cancer treatment and couldn’t access his money due to his divorce. She realized the truth upon seeing the real Brad Pitt with his girlfriend on the news.
