I love Israel.
This is incredible. Just days after her release from over a year in Gaza, former hostage and soldier Agam Berger attends a ceremony honoring her sister, Bar, who has completed a military course. In a touching moment, Agam is seen placing the purple aiguillette on Barโs shoulder.

I am speaking this morning at the Greater Washington DC federation and my uber driver accidentally dropped me off at the JCC. I am so glad he did as I got to see the incredibly moving American Jewish Veterans Memorial and honor those Jews who gave their lives for their country.

The world commemorates International Holocaust Remembrance Day on the date that Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet army. Israel marks Yom HaShoah on the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising - the date Jews fought back. Understand this and you understand a lot of things.

Some words of advice for today: Today, only watch the scenes of the hostages coming home and their family's joy. Tomorrow we can rage about the Hamas ceremony & worry about those not released. Hard days are coming. Today, allow yourself to just be happy. We've earned it.

IDF announces the deaths of four soldiers in northern Gaza. The fallen soldiers are Sgt. Yahav Maayan, 19; Sgt. Maj. (res.) Alexander Fedorenko, 37; Staff Sgt. Danila Diakov, 21; Sgt. Eliav Astuker, 19. The death toll from the ground operation in Gaza is now at 400.
