A perfect 4.3 GPA! So many times I’ve doubted myself academically but there is a huge diff in the uni experience when you enjoy what you’re studying - not always possible but where you can, try to! If you know you’re capable of more, reach for it. Aspire to do your personal best.
The moment you find out you're a UWI Open Scholar 2020 😭
Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to apply. If you know me, you kno seh mi work HARDDD for it and my little bro kept me accountable throughout the year.
Young people! DREAM BIG, faith + works ✨

ADDRESS 2022
It was an honor to deliver a speech that was relatable and reflective of the experience we had. Here are some highlights!
✨ Highlight 1 - Reminiscing on memorable moments across our faculties.
🔗 Full speech:
Someone said to me that they're afraid to post their grades cause it's not a 4.0.
People, we're in the middle of a pon de replay. Just being alive is a blessing.
If you know you've done the best you could, be proud of yourself!
To my younger self,
It’s amazing to see the powerful, charismatic and level-headed woman you have grown into.
Your love for computers has blossomed into a first class degree. Your stage fright has become an ability to inspire thousands with speech.
Proud is an understatement
UPDATE: Police and soldiers have now reached the scene where this small plane crashed in Rocky Point, Clarendon this evening. However, the occupant or occupants are missing - Nathaniel Stewart photo.
If there’s one piece of advice that l I’ll never buy into, it’s the “you need to wake up at 3AM in order to be successful” think pieces.
Bredda, find what time you work best and do the do man. Coulda be 5PM
In my first few years of interning at TVJ, I always dreamed of hosting. I’m extremely grateful to TVJ
@TVJGM
@judsjam1
for believing in young people.
Pleased to announce that I am a host & producer for GenZed, a youth TV & Radio show. Airs on TVJ in September and on Power106!
As Guild President, I firmly support UWI’s position regarding the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for living on halls. I’ve asked that it also apply to staff working on hall to which the university has agreed. Student safety is our top priority. This is a fair position.
I no longer see busyness as a marker of success. Having free time to do what you enjoy in life, be with the people that make you happy or just be introspective is important.
I remember persons having doubts about how I’d turn out after taking a gap year between high school and university. Honestly, it was the best decision I could make (for myself). So much growth occurred in that one year that set me up for where I am now. Gratitude.
I completed the Yale University School of Medicine’s SURGE program in 2021.
The Healthcare industry is fascinating! I intend to specialize in Digital Health, after undergrad. Definitely excited to explore more opportunities to learn about global health in 2022.
You know, as kids many of us would think our parents were 'over protective'.
Having grown up and being able to understand the realities of the society we live in...
I completely get it now.
A few weeks ago, I was shortlisted as one of the top 11 candidates for the Jamaica Rhodes Scholarship to the
@UniofOxford
. Though I wasn’t selected as the winner, I’m reminded that ‘what is fi yuh cyah un fi yuh’. I choose to celebrate progress 😊
The journey continues ✨
Students have been looking for job opportunities, especially in light of the pandemic affecting Work & Travel. I'll update this thread with opportunities that I find.
I personally really like JMMB. Good customer service, quick online banking and when you call they will walk you through any issue you may be having step by step.
Top tier
I’m definitely an ‘actions speak louder than words’ type of person. You coulda tell me sumn from now till ah morning but if you don’t exhibit it in your behaviors, it means nothing.
I’ve been getting emails I scheduled to be sent from first year with post grad opportunities. Reminds me that we’re constantly building towards our future self. Do something nice for 2022 you, today!
We must take a serious look at youth migration in Jamaica. Brain drain is costing us valuable Human Resources.
Young people need good paying jobs and affordable housing locally (among other things)
I’ve been immensely blessed over the past 22 years. Did I face challenges? Of course. Did I have moments were I wondered wah really ah gwaan inna Jah land? Yes. But “WE MOVEEE”.
Thank you for your overwhelming love and support. I truly felt loved and special yesterday
