I am absolutely heartbroken to see this news. Nic was an amazing kid who always put others first. He constantly had a positive effect and influence on his teammates, friends and family’s lives. May his kind soul rest in peace.
We’re heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning. An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Joey Moss. He always found a way to put a smile on our faces and remind us what was really important. He went out of his way to make others feel great. The memories of Joey will continue to inspire me. Condolences to the Moss family.

Stutts has never, ever walked away from adversity or confrontation. He runs directly into it. Cancer will have its hands full with Stutts. We are thankful for the incredible support of the Samueli family, management, staff and the players. This is one tight, caring group.
Ducks Assistant Coach Mike Stothers announced today he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma of the Lymph Node.
He is under care at UCI Health and will begin treatment and surgical intervention in the coming weeks.
