Unbelievably excited to announce that I received an @nhmrc Investigator Grant & @heartfoundation fellowship this round 🥳 This funding wouldn’t be possible without the food policy team @georgeinstitute, nutr & pub health allies & mentors. Look forward to sharing more in 2024!

Great to be quoted in this piece by Jenny Gold along with other experts on the growing issue of pouches in the United States. Similar issues exist here in Australia and elsewhere.
Many parents rely on baby food pouches as an easy option on the go. But experts worry that relying on them too much can cause problems.

It has been a busy media day over here at TGI with the release of this paper. Sadly, it's not much of a good news story, with 78% of products failing to meet nutrition requirements and none meeting WHO promotional standards.
Commercial foods for infants and toddlers fail to meet WHO requirements for nutrition, yet they can display health and nutrition claims on-pack. We must change this. Great new paper by Elizabeth Dunford, Maree Scully & @daisyhcoyle @georgeinstitute

Thanks for having me @teegstar. And thank for shifting the dial on conversations around potential policies to reduce harmful UPF intake here in Australia.
How can we curb the harmful effects of ultra-processed foods to prevent chronic disease? Our own @daisyhcoyle takes @teegstar at The Health Report through the options.
