With 1,250 to 3,000 languages, Africa is the most linguistically diverse continent. So why does the AI world overlook it? If you build for Africa - you build for the world - for you have conquered linguistic complexity. Africa’s multilingualism is AI's ultimate test.

@emeka_ug This is just BS, and ego/power trips. If you can't make an adult learn from their mistakes by caning them, why would you think it would work on a child? Results in either more aggression, anxiety, lower self-esteem, and depression. Also this is colonial trauma being passed down.

@liljuuliet Engineers? Software is literally one of the few fields where someone will spend hours of their time creating something and avail it to the other engineers for free!

I think about the book Zero To One a lot, the part where Peter Thiel argues that chasing perfect justice often leads to stagnation because it shifts focus from creating new things (going from 0 to 1) to merely distributing what already exists. I sort of painfully agree.

🤯 Mindblown, I didn’t know that the @vercel ’s top chief is the guy behind Mongoose and Sure, success leaves clues. I’m shocked more at his balance between technical and non technical. That’s rare! I dislike NextJS but still it’s impressive!

I didn't realize Guillermo Rauch was so cracked: - high school dropout from Argentina - gets dev job in SF at 18 - builds mongoose - builds Socket,IO - builds next.js then Vercel And for some reason I thought he wasn't a coder??

Follow the money, and you’ll see most criticisms are not genuine. Such cannot be trusted, not now not tomorrow. Such can never see anything good. Once you see people’s incentives you will see through their veiled intents. Evil deserves evil. Good deserves good.
