Bergeron is 35 with 2 years left. Krejci's 34 with 1 year left. Rask is 33 with 1 year left. Marchand is 32. Chara and Krug are gone. Craig Smith is the only addition.
It's completely fair to ask what they're trying to accomplish this year.
Bruins take on the
#1
team in the NHL, possible playoff opponent, in possibly Joe Thornton's last game, fuck you you're on NESN+ for sub-.500 April baseball.
They hold back the reverse angle when they obviously would've had it during the game. They went out of their way not to show Marchand struggling to stand and get into the bench. With this and the "heavy scrutiny" warning the league has it's finger on the scale.
The emergency backup goalie procedure for NHL games is expected to be discussed at the general managers meetings that begin next week, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said.

There's a place for announcers who are more detatched but with Jack it's like you're watching the game with him. I'd take him if he were speaking in tongues.
The
#NHLBruins
have acquired forward Mark Kastelic, goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, and a 2024 first-round draft pick (25th overall) from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for goaltender Linus Ullmark.

It's over. Krejci Hall and Rask are gone. Bergeron will be 36 soon. Marchand is 33. Lean years ahead while they accumulate building blocks around McAvoy and Pastrnak.
The Bruins have a ton of guys in roles beyond their ability with a couple of stars trying to carry them. If you've been around long enough you've seen this movie before.
Irony is Cam Neely declaring the end of the Big Bad Bruins to embrace speed and skill, then getting knocked out by St. Louis, Tampa, Carolina, Florida, and anyone else with size up front who can get in on the forecheck.
They're going to pretend this never happened because the concussion protocol wasn't followed. Even the broadcast cuts out the part where his legs are too wobbly to make it to the bench unassisted.
Tim Thomas is tearing up discussing the brain damage he suffered after hockey. He said he was never the same after a concussion his final season in Florida.
“The was a time period where I hated the game. My rebound effect was, this wasn’t worth it.”
You're missing the point if Forbort's your problem. McAvoy's been their worst player, can't make a play. Carlo, not good. Two goals he's there and doesn't take the stick away. You're OK if your worst players are your worst. When your best are your worst you're fucked.
Have to give credit to Pastrnak for getting stronger, fighting his own battles but he shouldn't have to deal with Wilson. Can't have teams teeing off on your skill players for 40 mins.
