The NWCA Division III Championships will take place in the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa, March 12-13. Coralville is adjacent to Iowa a city, and Cedar Rapids is the nearest airport.
NCAA Championships Committee has recommended expanding the field from 180 to 210 and adding a 7th region for the 2024-2025 season. Still a few other approvals necessary, but this is likely to happen.

There are a few parallel efforts in progress to create a postseason outside the NCAA this year. Hopefully, they will communicate and work together. We should know more in a week or so.

Surely there's a worse site out there. Are you offering your services, because I could probably use them. It's a one man shop over here, and I'm just a wrestling coach
Tough day for the wrestlers and coaches. All the teams were on site and checked in. The coaches meeting ended and everyone dispersed. Then the news came down less than 18 hours before weigh ins.
If you're a current or former DIII wrestler who is competing in the US Nationals this weekend in Iowa, let us know so we can highlight the DIII guys at the event.
In the 157 final last night, when the locked hands call was overturned, should the match have been returned to the time of the call (roughly 8 seconds left) instead of going directly to overtime?
Athletes who placed in the top three at the 2022 NCAA Div. III National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are eligible for the Greco-Roman portion of the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament, but must notify Gary Abbott at gabbott

of the Minnesota Storm secured a 10-0 technical fall over Danny Braunagel of the Illinois RTC, then took off his shoes and placed them on the mat to announce his retirement from competition."
Still no brackets. There has been no public communication about why yesterday’s 6pm release time was missed. DIII brackets are almost never released on time, but this is far past what is typical.
A couple of former DIII champs changing roles:
1. Davenport head coach Bebeto Yewah returns to UW-La Crosse as an assistant
2. University of the Ozarks women's head coach LeRoy Gardner heads to Purdue as volunteer assistant
Robbie Precin's 90 match winning streak comes to an end as Coast Guard's Chase Randall scores the winning takedown in sudden victory to make the 133 final.

This will give the ODAC six wrestling teams (Roanoke, Washington & Lee, Ferrum, Emory & Henry, Shenandoah). Maybe enough for the conference to sponsor wrestling as a championship sport?
This is the proposal that passed at the NCAA Convention. Wrestling will be able to use 8 days of practice outside the season starting with the 2023-24 season.
It looks like the schedule for this weekend's event has changed a bit from the initial announcement. Start time is 11am Friday and 12pm Saturday (both Central).
Update for access to NCAA Championships. Tickets will not be sold. If you have a ticket, it is no longer valid. 6 passes per athlete and 1 per coach will be issued to teams later today.
