Spent the day with the TN Legislature. I am living testimony that justice-involved youth, if given the support and opportunity, can become productive citizens. No one is beyond God’s redemptive power. Praying that conversations held today translate into meaningful transformation.

The TN Supreme Court just ruled that sentencing juveniles to life in prison is unconstitutional, out of step w/ the rest of the country, & doesn’t consider age/circumstances. Parole eligibility starts at 25 years for Tyshon Booker & other juveniles! .

I was able to speak to her on the Dasher’s phone and make sure she had all that she needed. Praying for all affected by the tornado in Clarksville, Hendersonville, and surrounding Nashville areas and so thankful for the kindness of people and community in the face of disaster.
