What is UDP? 📨 UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is one of the ways computers send data over the internet. Think of it like sending a text message—you hit send, and it goes straight to the recipient without waiting for a reply. No “Message Delivered” or “Read” receipts—just send and hope it gets there! Unlike its more responsible sibling, TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) 📞, which ensures every message arrives safely, UDP just fires off data and doesn’t wait for a response. It’s all about ⚡ speed over reliability. How Does a UDP Connection Work? 🤔 Well, the trick is—UDP doesn’t actually establish a connection at all! ❌🔗 There’s no handshake, no confirmation, no checking if the other computer even received the message. It just sends data and moves on. UDP is more like yelling across the room 📢—whoever hears it, hears it. Here’s what happens step by step: 1️⃣ You send data – Your computer creates a UDP packet (a small chunk of information) and sends it to another device. 2️⃣ No handshake – Unlike TCP, there’s no “Hey, did you get that?” confirmation.
