In this article on @Forbes, I explore why we need to transform from teaching traditional subjects to #competencies in schools. Thankfully there are examples of how this is starting in different #schools around the 🌍 #education #transformation

Very happy to publish my last Forbes article on Linkedin. As Forbes doesn't allow comments, I thought I would start including them on Linkedin to allow comments. This article looks at the correlation between employee engagement and profit.

Interesting study showing how psychology training (compared to standard business based training) can significantly improve profitability. Covered in my latest Forbes article with interviews from the World Bank

Interesting research from the World Bank on why the teaching of a growth mindset can make a huge difference in education. Have a look at my latest Forbes article... and have a good weekend.

I am focusing on initiative for my doctorate, so thought I would ask ChatGPT to write a poem to explain initiative. This is the response: Initiative, the spark that ignites A flame that burns within A driving force that propels us forward To boldly take…

Interestingly, there appears to be little or no correlation between wisdom and IQ (in academic studies). If wisdom is looking at the bigger picture, then we are ill prepared for a future where humans cannot compete against AI where pure IQ is required.

My latest article on Forbes talks about entitlement and empowerment for #millennials and #GenZ. Also looks at link to individualism with a paper from #IgorGrossman, the host of my favourite podcast #OnWisdom.

School terms are coming to an end, and once again students and teachers are stressing about final exam results which are meant to reflect a student's capabilities for the last 15 years. When will the Universities change their accreditation?

In the US, many universities accept the Mastery Transcript Consortium accreditation which measures skills and competencies and not just academic knowledge. Unfortunately I can't find anything similar accepted by European universities. Anyone know one?

In a study by Judith Gluck, she found that people voted for leaders not because of their wisdom, but rather because of their perceived ability to stand up for their tribe (e.g. Trump). I am wondering which business or society leaders are valued for their wisdom?

My colleague, is finding more and more clients who are struggling to set boundaries, especially when agreeing to take on more at work. Unfortunately too often it affects personal lives. If this sounds familiar, get in touch with Sandra or myself.…

One of the hardest things for individuals to do is to seek advice from somebody who isn't going to tell them what they want to hear. It's easy to fall in the #ConfirmationBias trap. Explains my lack of friends 😃

#LucyCrehan's book - Cleverlands - looks at what makes successful education systems in Singapore and Finland. Teachers are given 20% of their time to plan lessons together, try out new practices and research ideas. Class sizes are 20% larger but appears to be worth the trade-off
