Yall, I did it. As a single mom, I got all 4 of my kids to adulthood. Yes, they have fathers who played huge roles in their lives, but in my house, it was just me v. four. Every day was an adventure. Happy adulthood day to my baby girl who survived me & 3 older brothers. ❤️

@tdkyo idea: an ipaws/alert “zone” where initial alerts go out but then anyone entering the zone gets the same alerts without necessarily having to send entire new alerts 🤔

@tdkyo IPAWS could be used if geofenced but it would be impossible to know which drivers were headed in a certain direction (but still outside the fence). The GDOT highway signs would be a good way to alert others.

@Atticus59914029 AKA divert assets, resources, and personnel away from those who need it most. It makes me so angry when electeds or celebrities take away from response in order to get a photo op.

@PreparednessJoe A few yrs ago, I & a group of others were on deck to go to NC to assist post-storm. Bc of widespread flooding, we had to await air transport. POTUS decided to visit so all assets were redirected. Additional response personnel & resources could not be brought in for several days.

Another rapid intensification storm … this time, with a huge wingspan. Stay safe, my local SAV and Southeast US folks.
For perspective on how large and far reaching Hurricane Helene is, I've never seen tropical storm and hurricane warnings for one storm covering the entire state of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and parts of North Carolina especially at the same time.
