Compulsive volunteer. Will share information about Surrey Junior Cricket Championship but all views my own.

We are down but not out...some (very dim) light at the end of the tunnel as junior cricket is highlighted as a priority. We plan for the best but prepare for the worst. I predict a few glorious weeks of cricket in between mandatory shut downs....

If you did not see it take a look at Nesser’s catch this morning in the @BBL Very interesting example of law 19.4.2. He caught it inside the rope, threw it up, it went a long way over the boundary, he then jumped in the air threw it up into the field of play and caught it.

So the last few days…had Aus v SAF and big bash on the agenda and I found myself continually switching to watch the Eng v Pak test. I am not sure I will be allowed back into my country of birth for saying this; but England are by far the best team to watch in world cricket.

If you want a highlight reel of how NOT to bat check out the @ThunderBBL innings just completed. OH MY DAYS. All out 15. 35 balls. Embarrassing.

That Pope catch….hmmm. I would not be very happy if I were a Pakistani fan. The way the ball was caught, pincer like in his gloves, surely suggests it must have touched the ground at some stage.

Just walked past the nets in our local park…3 young lads wanting to be Curran, Stokes and Rashid. This matters.

A total disgrace that Moin and Rashid have to run off to allow champagne to be sprayed around…nonsense. @ECB_cricket please get this right…

I have really enjoyed this World Cup. T20 cricket is such a better game when there is a genuine contest between bat and ball. Something for @IPL to consider.

T20 cricket is such a better game when there is a contest between bat and ball with decent boundary sizes. That was very good to watch #INDvsSA

So watching the Oz v SL game with a coach of 30 years experience. Conclusion: @AaronFinch5 is doing everything wrong. Not watching the ball. No base position. Jumping at the crease. As a Surrey stalwart it is sad to watch but hopefully he is still there Friday😁😁
