I didn’t want a parrot. But my son wanted one. I told him he could pay for it cleaning toilets at Ralph’s. He did. Then he got into a college & they didn’t allow pets. So I inherited a parrot who lived on my shoulder for years. She died last week. I can’t stop grieving.

I’m devastated to let you all know that May the Parrot died peacefully in her sleep today. She was happy and apparently healthy earlier, but sometimes small parrots die for unknown reasons. She was 12.
I am stunned and heartbroken, more than I can express.
