If I’m a recruit and I’m seeing how these PSU athletes/fans are treating/talking about DT after he left for a coaching opportunity, I’d have pause about it. These ppl will bash you immediately if you leave, even at 33 y/o, like you didn’t just give them 15 yrs of your life.

Apparently State College isn’t the big happy family that some thought it was. Listening to Aaron Brooks interview from today, sounds very toxic, he basically said DT needs to find God & insinuated it would “take a miracle” for him to do so. Said coaches/athletes spying on him etc

Not a chance we boo Gilman, he was a kid, who was competitive & ready to get the hell after it! I respect the competitive drive, don’t act like John Smith never got fired up… Pretty clear he’s grown up a lot & matured, he came here to make us better, booing him makes no sense.

I understand both sides as an OSU fan, I definitely wanted Coleman Scott to be the next head coach. Though if we’re being honest and unbiased, David Taylor is an incredible hire for OSU. Shows the Admin wants to be back chasing titles again, which I respect, bittersweet.

Not OSU wrestling IMO, If it shakes out like a lot of people think it will, lot of wrestling programs will be getting cut. Which is obvi terrible for the sport, and doesn’t help OSU at all. We need to grow the sport, not reduce it.

Agreed! They didn’t come here bc they didn’t want to, or had to, they CHOSE to come here! They’re going to bring it and be as passionate if not more about OSU, as they’re holding the keys now. This is the most exciting thing that’s happened to the program in almost 20 years.

I think he’s implying that Zo is sticking around at the RTC, as there’s been no clarity from the staff as to who is staying or going at the RTC. One of the other RTC coaches is no longer around, so Zo sticking around was a big deal to us!
