We were out yesterday clearing some hanging branches and fallen trees on the path along the Sowe Valley Walk. The path is now clear, and ready for the upcoming Family Hub community walks @coventrycc @TOGWalks

The recent storms unfortunately damaged many trees across the city, today we finished clearing most of this Silver Birch which had fallen over a bench at Longford Park. Thankfully the park has many more mature trees to enjoy, this one will be replaced in due course.

@AtwagC We have removed the hanging branch from over the path and tidied. 👍

Thanks for @AtwagC for letting us know about this hazard next to the pond on Coundon wedge, we've made it safe now, also we done a little bit of crown lifting to improve a sight line while we were there @coventrycc

@p14pmh14 Hi Phil we are waiting for the contractors to get round to clearing it, there's a bit of a back log due to al the bad weather we've had

End of the week we were in Tile Hill wood chipping holly and we noticed that a couple of the ditches were blocked and water was spilling over on to the paths. After some rodding we got the water flowing back into the pond @coventrycc

Thursday we had pupils from @newmancoventry school helping with work on a boardwalk in Coundon Hall Park swapping out the chicken wire for grip strips. They all had a try of using different tools and did a very good job @coventrycc
