It is with the deepest sadness that we must inform everyone of the sad passing of Past Grand Master Brother Ian Wilson. Brother Wilson will be sadly missed by the entire Orange Family and our thoughts and prayers are with Ian’s family at this sad time.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Scottish Orange Home Fund bucket collection at Ibrox last week has raised the amazing sum of £3,068.98.

It was on this day in 1795 that the Orange Order was formed following the battle of “The Diamond”. Following a meeting in Dan Winters Cottage where it was agreed, the founding fathers moved on to James Sloan’s inn where they drew up the first warrants and issued them to lodges.

The RWCGM, Executive and Members of the CGL of Central Scotland are today mourning the loss of Sis Mary Duckett BEM. Mary worked tirelessly for the Institution and the CGL where she was the first Youth Section Liaison Officer. Our thoughts are with her family during this time.

The CGL Exec are saddened to hear of the passing of Bro Peter Downie. Peter gave a lifetime of service to the Institution and served CGL as Substitute then Deputy County Grand Master. The thoughts and prayers of CGL are with Pauline and the family at this sad and difficult time

The Executive and Members of CGL were saddened to hear of another sectarian attack on the Lollards Hall. This was reported to Police Scotland and we look forward to this further incident of anti-Protestant hate crime being fully addressed, and the perpetrators brought to justice
