I probs said before about my weight, I was rather disgusted with myself when this pic was taken, ballooned to 17.5 stone, all my own fault, anyhoo, I've been on a diet the past 2 months, completely changed eating habits, I've lost 13lbs so far, target is 15 stone, long way to go!

11 years ago yesterday we landed in Guernsey, stayed overnight at Grange Lodge, then the next day (today) we moved into our first property (rental) at Cobo...all thanks to my beautiful wife, (and the Education dept obvs) sort of an inspired move from Birmingham that 😃🇬🇬👍.....👇

The flight today to see mom has been changed to Monday,many things to organise,I’m pulling myself together to move forward,I’ve decided to go out tomorrow to celebrate a very good friends 50th,being around my group of friends will lift my spirits,and I’m completely ok with that

I've just received an email reminder from Moonpig that is moms birthday in a few days, I just can't delete this reminder, just like mom and dad's mobile numbers in my phone, and my phone calendar reminder of their anniversary.....i just wont do it, thats not weird is it?

Right…..we’ll I need to drop 2 stone, time to cut out the snacks, late night crisps and chocolate, portion control on meals, walk a lot more, going to aim for 4/5 miles 3/4 times a week……and it all starts right here, right now, wish me luck, I’m gonna need buckets full of it !

Ain't life grand,yes there's a covidy thingy going on,but I live on a beautiful Isle,with amazing people,locations,everything really, I'm from B'ham,which was great when that's all you know,but trust me,Guernsey is amazeballs,don't ever take it for granted my GSY friends 👍

The hospital phoned earlier, mom has passed away,I tried to mentally prepare myself when they told me a couple of days ago that she may not make it,but you just can’t prepare for such news,I’m full of guilt right now,but she’s at peace and free,and that’s all that matters…
Mom’s in palliative care & being made comfortable in hospital,Doctor said I can visit at anytime of the day,he said I best come sooner than later,I’m on the only flight out to Birmingham tomorrow,won’t get to the hospital till around 9pm, heartbreakingly it’s time to say goodbye

Great news today🙂, Abbie was successful, she has secured a summer internship at Digital Greenhouse, it was her preferred choice to work place, I'm a very proud dad, and yes she's got her moms brains 🤣😉

Abbie was due home Friday 18 for the weekend, Just had the best video call from her, she's got no tutorials next week so she's changed her flight date and she's currently at Southampton Airport waiting to fly home, she's home for over a week, what a complete surprise.....🙂

Tomorrow will be the last time I leave my family home....as I lock the front door for the last time i will turn and look and say goodbye to my family home, we are just custodians, its all very sad, but obviously it's part of life..

Guernsey local status license has just come through, took them about 5 months to process the application, but local status for moi 👊
Those 14 years have just flown by, a mahoosive thank you to all the Guer's I know that have welcomed us to their island, many thanks to you all 😘

What a great day I’ve had, x6 oysters, half lobster and scallops for lunch, then ribeye steak at Mora for dinner, sometimes the best days are those that you don’t plan, you just go with the flow and see where it ends, happy bank holiday tweeps 👍👊

Abbie comes back from Uni today, 2 years completed, swopping bedrooms round so she can isolate in our bedroom with an en suite, hopefully her negative result won't take too long and we can get back to normal quick sharp. Can't wait to see her 🙂

Ive had a great week off work with Sue, we’ve spent a fortune, but so what, also Abbie is going back to Uni tomorrow, but one month later and she’s done, three years done in no time, she starts work on 23 May, proud daddy 🤷🏻

Charlie is home, a little dazed and feeling sorry for himself, but with some doggo TLC, especially from his momma, his meds and plenty of rest and hopefully he'll be running round the house again soon.

After 6 months I've received Probate grant for moms estate,purchaser nearly pulled out because of time scales,but it looks like I can finally close the door on this chapter,it's been horrible knowing my family home is just sitting there,empty,cold,but I can finally get closure.

Abbie is back home for the Easter uni break, earlier than expected but I'm not complaining 🙂
She goes back mid April and is then completely finished 13 May and back in Guernsey for the foreseeable..... 3 years at Uni done, I'm a very Happy daddy 😀

Well what was supposed to be a lunch, but it's turning into a sesh🤦🏻♂️Abbie is so happy, lunch with ua & her chap,starting work tomoz,I can see the shine in her eyes,the glow in her face,she's a happy young lady,and that makes Sue and I immensely happy,our work is done..for now!!

I'm Immensely proud of Abbie, it's been tough,isolated in her bedroom for 2 weeks,5 phone calls and a house visit from public health,2 covid tests (both negative),and at 1 minute past midnight she is free to enjoy her time back in Guernsey,as a family we cared and we complied.

Daughter has gone and had her first tattoo, in one way it saddens me as I didn’t want her to have any, but in another I can see how happy she is, so that makes me happy, it’s not about me, it’s her life, and it’s all about her, I love her, and I’m immensely proud of her.

I've been out with my girls for 4 hours, tomorrow's out out lunch is going to hurt, but do you know what I don't care, I know some will snarl and think what they think, but I'm enjoying my life while I have breath in my body, because being out with Sue and Abbie makes me happy 🙂

Right, spread sheet set up for my fat fek weigh in every Friday morning, starting weight last week was 17st 3lb, I’ve set myself two targets, first Friday of April 16st, first Friday of August 15st, 1lb loss per week is my goal, let’s see how this misery is going to pan out eh 🤣
