@sensualistklaus @kunley_drukpa A tragedy; a life well lived is one in which Duchamp’s Fountain has been rigorously interrogated with a critical theoretical lens.

What are Afghans even doing in Europe? I know we all take it for granted now that a lot of the third world lives in the West, but when did we collectively decide that this would be policy? What is the philosophical framework undergirding this insanity?
An Afghan has been identified as the driver of a car ramming attack in Munich that has injured dozens. It is the fifth attack in less rhan a year in Germany involving a migrant suspect. Politicians and activists who highlight this are called “Nazis.”

@Yorkslrehlker This video makes me nauseous. These people should be jostling with each other to avoid burning cadavers and cowshit on the ghats at Varanasi.

“Free nations must lead in AI” Well that rules Britain out.
Free nations must lead in AI. Good conversation with @Keir_Starmer on global AI standards, economic prosperity, and how we can partner on the immense AI opportunities in the UK.

If the United States is performing well in the PISA (and it is—American whites and American Asians as discrete groups are in the top ten worldwide), how is it possible that 67% of all students in the country can’t read at the appropriate grade level? Either the US is doing selective testing for reasons of national prestige (as the Chinese are accused of doing) or the worldwide testing system expects too much from progressively illiterate generations of kids.
DOGE: More than 67% of American student can’t read at grade level. Whatever the Department of Education is spending $82B a year on isn’t helping our kids read.

@rogerkimball I suspect direct democracies have a better shot at lasting in a relatively homogeneous society, in which social trust is high.

@HowIMineFish @L0m3z Agitslop might be even more accurate because of the demoralizing propaganda element.

@d_peter17473 @AaronBastani lol yeah. They’re not paying anyone’s pensions. Aaron (and his kids) are going to be paying for these men and their imported families for the rest of their working lives.
