Whatever you did last weekend, it can't have been half as impressive as the heights scaled by Annie Walsh. Munster intermediate club glory on Saturday, a game which she finished as top-scorer, followed by her first marathon on Sunday. Some going.

Media no longer permitted to attend the monthly Cork county board meeting. Mention in their explainer of 'more open and transparent engagement' is highly ironic.

The Meath ladies footballers, in a show of support for dual player Megan Thynne, wore specially printed t-shirts during the warm-up to their Div 2 semi-final on Sat. Thynne played two League semi-finals on Sat - the first in Cavan, the second in Inniskeen.

Westlife Páirc Uí Chaoimh gigs rescheduled for August 27/28 of next year. That's a bit of good news for Cork GAA as the cancellation of these concerts would have meant a loss of circa €750k.

Busy week for Cork dual player Libby Coppinger. Come Sunday evening, she'll likely have played four games in seven days. She started last Sunday's camogie league win over Tipp. Ashbourne Cup final tonight. And for this weekend, there's camogie league on Sat & football on Sunday.

Is it just me or are the 'few' Cork dual players, and the 'significant knock-on effect' that arose from accomodating them, somehow responsible for the All-Ireland semi-final ending up in Parnell Park.

Treasurer's report, after much debate and criticism from the floor at what went on in previous years, has been adopted. Chairman calls for unity going forward. We're now at the election of officiers. The end is in sight. Let ye all go out and buy a newspaper tomorrow.

Cormac Bane's motivation to tell his story was that it might lead to greater education, at GAA club level, as to the lasting effects of concussion. As he says himself, "what I’ve gone through, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone”. A harrowing yet important tale.

For the love of God, open the dressing rooms. Cork City women were playing in Limerick last night. That's an hour and 40 minutes back to Cork city and then however long each player had to travel to get home without any access to a shower before departing.

Being back playing matches is great at the moment but there’s nothing worse than a long bus journey home after playing in the rain and can’t have a shower 🥶 brrrrrrr
