My dad never spoke while I was growing up. He was pretty quiet. Only spoke when he needed to. What i didn't know was why. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer when I was 5, and it pretty much sent my father into crackdown mode. He worked to pay the medical bills, our normal bills, provide for all of us, and never complained (as far as I know). He sat in the hospital room with my mom every time she went, held her hand, loved her, and told us kids that it was going to be ok. He was putting on a really good face for the most part and never "showed us" what he was going through. He was incredibly defeated and depressed, struggling mentally and drained emotionally, but he stayed by her side. He showed me what it was supposed to look like to LOVE the person that you're with. He didn't know that he had taught me that lesson, and still doesn't 25 years later, but I hold in extremely high regard for how he stayed by her and for thr most part, kept his cool. Being stoic and keeping his head held high. My mom survived, though nobody knows how. She's a trooper. My dad and her medical team kicked ass. She kicked ass. There is a line in Good Will Hunting that reads "You wouldn’t know what it’s like to be her angel, to have that love for her, be there forever, through anything, through cancer. And you wouldn’t know about sleeping sitting up in the hospital room for two months, holding her hand, because the doctors could see in your eyes that the terms ‘visiting hours’ don’t apply to you." When I saw this movie for the first time, it made me realize how good of a man my father was. Him and I didn't have much of a relationship growing up because of his mental health, but he's doing better now, and we have a fantastic relationship. Sometimes, you don't understand why people shut down, and it just takes some time. Be patient. Try to understand.

@DiscussingFilm Bautista didn't even play drax. He played a stupid, brain dead, silly character with the same name. Gunn's drax is NOTHING like he is in the books.

@blackdragnslayr @robinsher44 @poof0017 @BenjaminSWatson No, but what she sings is not country music. It's hip hop. Country music has a purpose. Anyone who has fucking ears can tell that she isn't singing country music.
