@MilesAmari01_10 @GuntherEagleman @elonmusk I'm an American, don't worry, all we would do is arm them and offer them air support. It's you who would be fire bombed, not us, your air force is quite pathetic in comparison.

@5tephenRN @duckelectrician @micah_erfan An armed citizenry is the only check on the president's domestic use of the military, which is why the founding fathers were so opposed to maintaining a large standing army.

@MilesAmari01_10 @GuntherEagleman @elonmusk We were foolishly and naievely supporting the terrorist Mandela and the ANC, that obviously hasn't worked out as planned. Time to reverse course and institute regime change again, bringing back the old order. It's clear now that the Boers need to be the ones running South Africa.

@doubtfuldude_ @PeesInSinks @elonmusk It's been 250 years, if they haven't got it, they're never going to. Maybe the Enlightenment philosophers were just wrong? Maybe all men are not created equal and liberty is only suitable for the landed gentry who came up with the idea?

@rlongman1 @Flipmetax @elonmusk Given the caliber of leaders in past generations relative to today, the previous way of doing things, whatever short comings it may have had, was clearly more meritocratic than the president system.

@TeriNanaseth @RedTusker @elonmusk Based on average IQ, in a fair and meritocraic system whites and Asians should be overrepresented relative to other races. Nothing wrong with also including exceptional people of other races, but they are obviously going to be fewer in number.

@Alt_Rogue_ @duckelectrician @micah_erfan The constitution says he's the commander in chief, if you're not obeying the president orders, lawful or unlawful, you're violating the constitution, period.

@5tephenRN @duckelectrician @micah_erfan Where does it say in the constitution that the executive is subject to the judiciary and is required to follow their rulings? It doesn't, if anything the opposite is intrinsic to the constitutional order as the judiciary relies on the executive to enforce its decisions.

@nangbaby Frankly, there shouldn't be no more than a few thousand government employees, they should all be temporary employees and leave at the end of an administration, and their motivation should be patriotic service, not pecuniary rewards.

@broadwaybabyto Frankly, you should be banned from the hospital. Healthcare is a privilege, not a right you entitled and and narcissistic POS.

@ConorFurlong @scttfrnks @micah_erfan So the simple and obvious solution is for Trump to use his executive power to declassified ALL government documents without exception. I fully support such a resolution.

@Alt_Rogue_ @duckelectrician @micah_erfan The courts ruled the courts have supreme power, no surprise there and they are free to do so. Likewise the president can declare he has supreme power and is free to do so. The main difference is the president has an army and the courts do not.

@5tephenRN @duckelectrician @micah_erfan Whether they are or not is irrelevant, the constitution is supreme, the rights of the executive power bestowed under Article II must be upheld and whether it helps or hurts democratic institutions and norms is of no concern whatsoever, because the constitution is supreme.

@_chandler_xx @CynicalPublius @acnewsitics Then they should have gotten a real job and not dedicated their lives to leeching off the public purse. Civil servants are no better that welfare recipients.

@nangbaby @ajbutler45 @CynicalPublius @acnewsitics Yes, the private sector must always be maintained as a more desirable career path than the public sector

@kiks1777 @CynicalPublius @AuraLeeHarvey @acnewsitics An educated person should be able to defend any policy or ideological position, they will know it all comes down to arbitrary and unprovable philosophical frameworks.

@prbysherron @CashLorenShow @charliekirk11 Executive power is not subject to judicial power, we have the separation of powers under the constitution. The president and the military are independent from the courts and need not respect their rulings.

@CooperChurch427 @brooks_hartwell @cmnsenselady @futerica @elonmusk Oh, now I just know you're being obstinate. FORTRAN is ones of the best computer languages ever devised. The only thing more fun to work in than FORTRAN is Assembly and I say this as primarily a C programmer.

@klsanbin @Bubblebathgirl @elonmusk If the president made it a policy to automatically veto every spending bill, a policy I have long advocated, few of these would pass. He bears responsibility too for signing the bills into law.
