With this question, the person is now acknowledging how they are currently thinking and feeling, it can be very helpful to navigate conflict using a past-present-future model as we can get very attached and pre-occupied with the past!

This next question offers the person a chance to reflect on their mindset and the emotions driving their behaviour at the time of the incident and ask themselves if they were in the position again, would they choose to react in the same manner they did?

We are dedicating this week to the 6 restorative questions a core element of everything we do here in Connect RP. The purpose of these questions is to facilitate open, honest dialogue and promote healing and understanding, often used in the aftermath of conflict or harm.

Even when the message isn't immediately received, the simple act of planting a seed can spark growth in time. Patience and trust in the process are key to creating lasting change. This is a key understanding for those seeking to grow a school committed to the tenets of RP 🌻
