Surgery was a success.
I had an extruded L5/S1 disc that shot straight out to the left side and compressed the shit out of the nerve root. Almost 2 months of extreme pain and inability to move my toes.
The surgeon said in 17 years he's only seen one other disc shot out as far

Today I got to play metal guitar on the internet and hang with my bandmate, go to my other bandmate's house to meet his son, work on a personal project, do jiujitsu and spend time with my family. I don't deserve this life but today I'm very grateful for it.

Lots of people have been asking for the banjo tab for this one. It's played with a guitar pick, standard tuning with 5th string tuned (or spiked) up to A. We don't even play the 5th string, so why tune it? The song is in the key of Dm, of which A is the 5th.
