@ProfBailiff Those are valid points you’re making. Manufacturing, testing, patenting, etc are all costly which in return drives costs up. However, my stance is that if these factors are costing American people basic medical coverage, then would you agree this system is ineffective?

@ProfBailiff Being the only (or one of few) manufactures of a certain drug allows you to have full control of the market. Of course this only applies to specific drugs such as rare ones. But greed is the driving force I believe.

@ProfBailiff As far as the other things mentioned on that list, those are all subjective and depend on the individual. What’s more important is what those jobs and education provide in value. A job is worthless if it cannot provide you with health insurance, a house, etc. without debt.
