i literally havent seen a manga or many media in my life at all that not only has a rich & compelling world/story but that also deals with disability, ptsd, diversity AND queerness in such a delicate and compassionate way. it's genuinely special and orufrey 4 ever
happy 8th!! i scribbled as many characters as i could..(?!) witch hat atelier is inexpressibly dear to my heart.. every day i'm inspired by its wisdom, fun, lessons, catharsis and love. 💕THANK YOU shirahama-sensei for creating this world.💓 #Δ帽子

i think witch hat is like the first thing ever that genuinely does feel "ghibli-esque". children navigating this complex adult world, very political, the medium itself as part of storytelling, averting & escaping old horrors, a focus on food & such homely truths. idk..u get it
not only is the matching family dress so precious, i love that he gave her his amulet of protection to wear (it's been said that's what it means to him) when all of this is over and he feels safe in the world, i hope he'll give it to her as a graduation present
idk,, cause i dont let myself focus on proper 'pieces' too much yet 🥲 but this is when i realised it can be fun & that i wanna keep getting more detailed
how is witch hat atelier real like why is she doing all this its too much and she doesnt even have to and nobody asked (positive) (honorific) (humble) (shaken)
