Hello gamers!
Our brand new video game 'Thank Goodness You're Here!' was just revealed on
#OpeningNightLive
(thanks Geoff x)
It's an absurd comedy experience set a strange Northern English town, and it's coming to PC, PS5 and Switch next year!
We're currently having a nice hot bath and will be sat in it all weekend, but just wanted to pop out of the tub to say a quick thanks to you all for yesterday.
We'll be back next week with news about patches, merch and whether or not we've finally won our fathers approval
The comparisons were unavoidable, so we finally teamed up with our kissing cousins at
@house_house_
to bring you full North and South England coverage in a Thank Goodness x Untitled Goose Game bundle!
Save an unevenly numbered 17% on both games!
Making a game is quite hard, as it turns out, but today we cross the finish line. The critics say it's alreyt, and we reckon so n'all, but we'll let you decide for yoursens
We worked really hard making Barnsworth, and we hope you have fun there!
Lots of love,
Will & James

@guardian
,
@eurogamer
and
@rockpapershot
are calling one of their most anticipated games, and what our mum's call 'upsetting'
Wishlist "Thank Goodness You're Here!" on Steam 👀
Our mum's say it's "upsetting" but
@edgeonline
says it's an 8/10
We'll let you decide who's right on August 1st when Thank Goodness You're Here! comes to computers and consoles near you!
We're in

Despite the many setbacks we faced, it was an amazing experience:
Our game was revealed to the world at one of the industries biggest live events, we got to work with Matt Berry, and we met a whole bunch of extremely cool people along the way!
Even with their support behind us, making the real thing was very hard work - what had felt like such a fully formed vision changed a dozen times during production, and for the longest time it was an unintelligible mess. "Are we in over our heads?" we quietly wondered...

. If not, it's an absurd comedy slapformer™ (your primary action is 'slap' and you jump, you see) set in a bizarre Northern English town.
You will really like it.

Both avid computer enjoyers, we had dreams of making a videogame together.
One weekend we decided to try our hands at a gamejam - by Sunday we only had a little naked fella wandering about an empty pink world, but we were loving it
For the better part of a year we worked away in the evenings, outside our full time jobs, cobbling together what would eventually become The Good Time Garden
We expected nothing from it's release, but it did well enough that we got to thinking: could we do proper one? would this house style of minimal gameplay, over the top animation, and silly voices work at scale?
There were lots of publishers on our list, some more interested than others, but after our first call with the enthusiastic bunch at
@panic
we knew we'd found the right fit
