My high school head coach said something that's always stuck with me: "You'll never be able to outrun good ball movement." I try to coach by this philosophy now, and @jcrawley44 @jhumenslacrosse are one of the best examples you'll see of it.

If you’re ever asked to play crease, this is what it should look like ( @NDlacrosse ) This camera angle is 💰🤌 because you can see how active both Irish players are on the inside. Defense gets SIGNIFICANTLY harder when you move. Stand still, and you’re making their day easier.

I don't think you can give ENOUGH credit to Danowski and the @DukeMLAX staff for putting Aidan Maguire at SSD Out of HS, every mid wants to play offense. SSD isn't glorious, and a lot of players won't fill that role. Aidan Maguire has set a standard and it's beautiful to watch

@DNVR_Broncos I’m actually happy the Dolphins haven’t stopped pushing it. More reason to get rid of Vance

Learning to manipulate slides will free you and your teammates up for easier looks. Notice how Colsey of @UVAMensLax uses a pass fake to his mirroring pair to freeze the Cuse help defender and earn his way to the cage🥶

Players with this ability allow your offense to play ‘inside-out’. You want to have guys that can wall-pass out of the interior so they can collapse the defense and take advantage of it shrinking. What becomes even more advantageous is when your guys have the ability to catch

I believe Duke lost to Notre Dame partially because they schemed up looks like this: It scores, but I'm in the camp this is a TERRIBLE look. Alley dodging with your off-hand is an ever-decreasing angle, which makes the G's job easier. Toss Entenmann in, and this is a save

The game has evolved to place guys behind the net and let them read UPFIELD. But why is it so effective? Heres my thoughts: (1) Decrease adjacent defender help on dodges. More space at X to manipulate team defenses. (2) Increased movement required from goalies on skips.

I believe BTBs are a necessity if you want to be a good lacrosse player. Its natural to switch hands when a defender has his stick in your gloves. However, a BTB allows you to keep his stick out of a passing lane while also reducing the time needed to switch hands. @UAlbanyMLax

Got a lot of replies yesterday about my belief that Duke lost to ND based on scheme, with a O'Neill clip showing them setting up alley dodges as their main form of offense Here's another example of Duke setting this up vs. Penn State. Again, they score. Duke scores a lot of

Sometimes offense is as simple as putting your dodgers in spots to be successful Love this look from @CornellLacrosse . Dodge HIGH to extend the defense, receive the ball low at x to capitalize on the d being extended. The defensive spacing created allows an easy up the hash

🔊SOUND ON🔊 Nothing coaching wise from this clip, but what @QKessenich said here NEEDS to be reiterated to ALL youth and HS athletes that have college aspirations: "Well no one got to this game @AnishESPN by surfing TikTok/Instragram all day"--ITS A GRIND
